Line marking is just as it sounds and involves the marking of property lines (or any other kind of line) that are already defined by monuments but span a distance that makes it difficult to see between those monuments. While we can accommodate special requests, our common practice is to place wooden lath on the line at intervisible distances to visually define the line. This process is commonly used for fencing and logging projects, or to make the property line visible in areas where potential encroachments may exist. It is important to note that line marking is not by itself a legal survey that will update any public record.
