Immediate Family Transfers are a form of exemption survey that allow an individual to create and transfer a piece of property to an immediate family member. The intent of the law is to allow an individual the opportunity to create a property that is intended to be for the benefit of the recipient. An individual is allowed to create one transfer property, per applicable family member, per county. The state has defined an Immediate Family member as an individual's parent, spouse, or child. There are a number of county regulations to understand that go along with the state statutes that allow an Immediate Family Transfer.
